About The French Pastry School

Starting in 2019, the full-time programs at The French Pastry School will be offered in partnership with Robert Morris University Illinois.  FPS will no longer be associated with City Colleges of Chicago after January 15, 2019.

As the only school in North America dedicated to all things sweet and baked, The French Pastry School at Robert Morris University provides hands-on education taught entirely in our state-of-the-art kitchens using the latest equipment and finest ingredients.  With small classes and a 1 to 20 faculty to student ratio, all of our students receive individual attention and personal instruction from world-class chef instructors.

Founded in 1995, The French Pastry School is the only major culinary school in N.A. dedicated to all things sweet and baked. FPS provides hands-on education taught entirely in state-of-the-art kitchens by world-renowned chefs. FPS has trained thousands of chefs through its full-time certificate programs in Pastry and Baking, Cake, and Bread and its continuing education workshops. Co-founders Sébastien Canonne, M.O.F., and Jacquy Pfeiffer, James Beard Award-winning author, are both recipients of the French Legion of Honour Award and were featured in the “Kings of Pastry” documentary.
